LOVE SYMPHONY
Proposal
Date: 18th– 24th
DEC 2011
KAMPUNG KHRUP KHMCHECK
 OVERVIEW OF PROJECT:
Established in 2007, it has been four years since Love Symphony started as a humanitarian club in Mara College Banting. This club is initiated as a class-based project that aims to help the orphans at Rumah Darussalam which is situated in Tambun, Perak. Although it is still part of the main objectives of this club, but we do not constricted ourselves from joining any other humanitarian events. That is one of the reason for us to accept the calling to help our fellow brothers and sisters in Kampung Khrup Khmcheck, Vietnam. The poor living standard plus with the not so proper facilities; this condition is too heart wrenching to be watched and that have motivated us to take action to help the community there.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION OF KG. KHRUP KHMCHECK
An isolated Muslim’s village in the border of Cambodia and Vietnam without proper health facilities provided. Most of the villagers are working as farmers with low and moderate incomes. This project will be the starting point for the Malaysian to start humanitarian project in this village.
BACKGROUND OF THE CLINIC
The clinic will be built on the land of the villager’s village. It will be managed by a Muslim doctor volunteered to help the villagers. The doctor has a medical qualification from local university and had been working at local hospital for about 6 years. This clinic will be named as Clinic Love Symphony. It will be supervise by Malaysia Embassy.
OBJECTIVES:
The trip to Kg. Khrup Khmcheck is organized and planned based on the following objectives:
·         The main objective of this trip is to build a local clinic in Kg. Khrup Khmcheck. This clinic will be the first and only health facilities exist in the village. With the presence of this clinic, the villagers will have the opportunity to experience the medical services provided. This will not only lessen their burden to travel far away to get medical treatment but also to improve their living standard.
·         This trip will also create awareness among the community on the importance of health and medical issue. The promotion and campaign that will be held is not only aim to encourage the villagers to visit the clinic but also to inculcate the concerns regarding health issues among them. Since they are from lower social status, hence they do not get the chance to have a proper education on health. By the health campaign that is going to be conducted, this will inculcate the knowledge on the necessity to go for medical checkup and have a proper medical treatment. Thus, this will create a healthy lifestyle among the residents.
·         To create the bonds between the club members with the villagers. Since we are going to conduct various activities in the village, hence we decided to stay in Kg. Khrup Khmcheck until the end of our activities. This will give the club members the opportunity to know-how is the life of the villagers on their own. Besides, they also get to learn a new culture and gain a lot of experience from the stay. Apart from that, this is will benefit the members because it is convenient since they do not have to travel back and forth from hotel to the village. Hence, cutting the cost and save a lot of time and energy.
